KOREAN NATIONAL POSITION
CIVILIAN PERSONNEL FLIGHT OSAN AIR BASE

POSITION TITLE AND GRADE: Golf Course Maintenance Worker, KWB-5003-04 (Part-Time)
NOTE: Applicants applying under this vacancy announcement may be converted to full-time without further competition.
SALARY: Between 15192 - 21683 Won per hour (Total hourly compensation when bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Force Support Squadron/Golf Course, Osan AB.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current employees assigned with United States Air Force, Korea (USAFK) (Priority Group 5).
NOTE: Newly hired NAF employees are required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position unless approved by management.
To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, USFK will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. USFK may request information and receive submission of vaccination documentation from employees and selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols based on vaccination status, such as masking, periodic testing, physical distancing, travel limitation and quarantine.
MAJOR DUTIES: Propagates, cultivates, and tends to turf, flowers and all other plants residing on the golf course grounds. Performs tasks such as fertilizing, Applying pesticides, preparing seedbeds, transplanting, aerating, pruning, trimming. Maintains and repairs all grounds at the golf course including, greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and rough. Tasks can may range from cutting putting cups to complete construction of greens. These duties can include the use of golf course equipment such as greens mowers, fairway mowers and rough mowers. Performs other related duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Most work is performed outside. In working outside the incumbent is subject to extreme weather such as cold, heat, rain and snow. Exposure to wind and dust is also possible. Must be able to work while wearing protective clothing such as boots, gloves, glasses and long pants. There are possibilities of minor injuries such as cuts scrapes and bruises. Other Significant Facts: Must be able to perform heavy lifting of 25 kilograms for extended periods. Maintenance worker may be asked to obtain a pesticide license. Work schedules subject to no notice change inclement weather. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: One year of general experience plus one year of specialized experience
General Experience: Actual work experience as a trainee, helper, or other work related to the trade or craft for which being considered.
Specialized Experience: Experience at the "Junior", or higher level, in the work related to trade or craft for which being considered.
SUBSTITUTION:
1. Graduation from high school in a field related to the job for which being considered, successful completion of a formal training course (at least 90 days duration) in a recognized trade school in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered, or possession of a valid license or certificate of competency issued by the ROKG attesting to proficiency as craftsman in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered may be substituted for 1 year of general experience.
2. Graduation from technical junior college in a field related to the job for which being considered or possession of license or certificate of competency issued by the ROKG attesting to proficiency as an industrial engineer in the trade or craft of the job for which being considered may be substituted for 1 year of general and 1 year of specialized experience required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY (KSA’S): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the position:
a. Knowledge of Golf Course Maintenance Worker.
b. Ability to perform tasks such as fertilizing, preparing seedbeds, transplanting.

주요업무: 골프장 바닥, 잔디, 나무, 꽃, 기타 식물 가꾸기 (번식), 비료주기, 살충제(농약)살포, 나무 가지치기와 손질을합니다. 골프장의 그린, 티, 페어웨이, 벙커, 러프의 관리와 보수작업을 시행합니다. 작업은 퍼팅컵 커팅부터 그린의 건설 완료까지 다양합니다. 잔디, 통로, 모래등을 관리하고, 보수하는 작업을 합니다. 또한 잡초를 제거하고, 새뗏장을 입히고, 모래를 골고루 펴서 잔디밭을 가꿉니다. 그 외에 다른 필요한 업무를 수행한다.
근무환경: 대부분의 작업은 야외에서 이루어 집니다. 작업자는 추위, 더위, 비, 눈과 같은 좋지 않은 날씨에도 작업을 수행할 수 있어야 합니다. 또한 바람과 먼지에 노출될 수 있습니다. 작업자는 부츠, 장갑, 안경, 긴바지 등 보호장비를 착용하고 일을합니다. 찰과상, 타박상과 같은 작은 부상이 발생할 수도 있습니다.
기타 요구사항: 장시간동안 25kg의 무게를 들어 올릴수 있어야 합니다. 작업에 요구되는 면허증을 취득할 수 있어야합니다. 점검 작업자는 살충제 면허가 요구될수 있습니다. 악천후 발생시 작업일정은 공고 없이 변경될수 있습니다. 다른 할당된 업무도 수행합니다.
자격요건:
경력: 1년 이상의 일반경력과 1년 이상의 전문경력이 필요합니다.
일반경력: 상기의 직종 또는 그 유사한 분야에서 조수나 보조원으로 일한 일반경력을 말합니다.
전문경력: 상기의 직종 또는 그 유사한 분야에서 견습공 또는 숙련공으로 일한 전문경력을 말합니다.
자격대체:
1. 기술고등학교에서 관련 직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 공인 직업 훈련원에서 해당직종 과정을 90일 이상 수료한 자, 또는 한국정부에서 발행한 해당 직종 자격증을 소지한 자는 필요한 경력중에서 일반경력 1년을 대체합니다.
2. 전문대학에서 관련직종의 학과를 졸업하였거나 한국정부에서 발행항 해당 직종의 산업기사 자격증을 소지한 자는 일반경력 1년과 전문경력 1년을 대체합니다.
요구되는 지식 및 능력: 본 직책의 업무수행을 할 수 있는 우수한 적격자를 선별하기 위하여 응시자는 본 직책의 업무수행을 할 수 있는 아래와 같은 지식 및 능력을 갖추어야 합니다.
ㄱ. 골프장 보수유지를 위한 지식.
ㄴ. 잔디를 심고 옮기고 보수관리 할수 있는능력.
