KOREAN NATIONAL POSITION
CIVILIAN PERSONNEL OFFICE OSAN AIR BASE
ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: OAB-013-17 OPENING DATE: 17 May 17

POSITION TITLE & GRADE: Supply Technician, KGS-2005-05
SALARY: Between 15684 – 22478 won per hour (Total hourly compensation when quarterly bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Logistics Readiness Sq, Materiel Management Flight, HAZMAT, Osan AB.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current employees assigned with United States Air Force, Korea (USAFK).
(Priority Group 5)
NOTE: Newly hired NAF employees are required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position unless approved by the management. Relocation allowance is not authorized for USFK employees selected from outside the commuting area.
MAJOR DUTIES: Directly support the 51st Fighter Wings and tenant units as focal point for all hazardous materials (HAZMAT) issues. Track all HAZMATs entering Osan Air Base by utilizing the Air Force Environmental Management Information System (AF-EMIS). Coordinates, reviews, and maintains over 300 customer accounts with over 3,100 records. Produces Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for customers utilizing the Hazardous Material Information System (HMIS). Coordinates with Bio-Environmental, Civil Engineering Environmental Flight, and Wing Safety on HAZMAT-related issues. Receives and processes expedite and routing issue requests from customers. Performs research using FEDLOG system for stock number not loaded in the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and Integrated Logistics System Supply (ILS-S), annotates applicable data on AF Form 2005 to load into SBSS or ILS-S. Processes inquiries to provide status upon customer request. Performs record maintenance actions for environmentally friendly substitutes. Files, maintains, and performs quality control on completed AF Form 2005. Updates and maintains issue request on serial number log sheets. Updates seven types of records managed in the AF-EMIS. Processes hazardous material and waste profile identified by National Stock Numbers (NSN) or locally assigned numbers. Adds, updates, and deletes NSNs in AF-EMIS. Reviews NSN file monthly for erroneous errors and deactivates NSN and CAGE lacking proper authorizations. Adds, assigns, and deletes shop records in AF-EMIS. Adds and updates shop certifier and HAZMAT monitor letters in AF-EMIS. Annotates form with control numbers and file in suspense folder in control number sequence. Reviews authorization work flow AF-EMIS daily to update form status. Processes completed AF Form 3952 authorization, prints and distributes form to customers, and file in account folders. Produces master authorization listing monthly and distributes to customers for review. Updates returned annotated listings in AF-EMIS and files listings in account folders. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPEREINCE: One (1) year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-04 or equivalent.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be credited, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade level.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Successfully completed education of four years above the high school level in a ROKG authorized or recognized university may be substituted for the experience required at grade KGS-5 level.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: 1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 60 or above and successfully passing the English Comprehension Interview (ECI) is required.
2. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 430 and higher the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) score of 450 and higher may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. Applicant must submit the TOEFL/TOEIC official copies of test score. TOEFL and TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the exam date.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:

Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and Integrated Logistics System Supply (ILS-S).

Ability to perform quality control checks, maintains control files, and reports information on Hazmat related issues.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
