KOREAN NATIONAL POSITION
CIVILIAN PERSONNEL OFFICE OSAN AIR BASE
ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: OAB-014-17 OPENING DATE: 17 May 17

POSITION TITLE & GRADE: Driver, Heavy (Special Equipment), KWB-5703-06
SALARY: Between 14912 – 21332 won per hour (Total hourly compensation when quarterly bonuses are included.)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Logistics Readiness Sq., Deployment and Distribution Flight, Osan AB
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current employees assigned with United States Air Force, Korea (USAFK).
(Priority Group 5)
NOTE: Newly hired NAF employees are required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position unless approved by the management. Relocation allowance is not authorized for USFK employees selected from outside the commuting area.
MAJOR DUTIES: Operates 5 to 15 ton gas or diesel tractor with semi-trailer, tilt trailer, 25 or 40 foot trailer combination unit to support all requirements for unusually bulky/heavy cargo and cargo movement services. Operates various types of vehicles/equipment, such as forklift (2-15K and terrain), 5-15 ton wrecker to transport bulky and heavy cargo or disable vehicle/equipment. Plans the placing of various types of loads to prevent damages to tractor-trailer or cargo, to prevent shifting of load which would cause overturning, ensures properly loaded and secured. Operates large sized vehicles, such as 28-44 passenger bus to support base shuttle service, aircrew transportation, distinguished visitor bus support and cargo operation services. When required, shortage of operator personnel or heavy workload, required to operate various types of vehicles, such as sedan, station wagon, carryall, multi stop metro, picked truck to support all transportation requirements. Needs to be familiarized with operation of these vehicles. Observes traffic and safety regulations in operation of vehicles ensuring safety, security and comfort of passenger and cargo. Uses Land Mobile Radio and maintains timely communications with vehicle dispatchers and Base Operations to perform assigned duties. Performs operator care and ensures all vehicles assigned are clean and mechanically good conditions. Conducts daily operator check and properly fills out AF Form 1800, Operator’s Inspection Guidance and Trouble Report. Washes or waxes on the assigned vehicle when required. If any discrepancies found, immediately report it to supervisor or vehicle dispatchers for a corrective action. Perform other related or incidental duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Majority of work is performed outside. Employee will be exposes to all weather conditions while operating vehicle and securing cargo. Drivers are subject to dust fumes, noise and road/traffic hazards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Six (6) months of specialized experience is required. Applicants must successfully pass a USFK performance test, possess the appropriate ROKG operator’s license for the type of equipment to be operated.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:

Ability to work outside under all weather conditions.

알 림: 신규 채용된 비충당 직원은 1년동안 다른 직위로의 이동은 책임자의 허가시에만 가능합니다. 근무 지역외의 주한미군 직원 채용시에 이사비용이 지급되지 않습니다.
주요 업무: 세미트레일러, 경사트레일러, 25 또는 40 풋트레일러등의 5 또는 15톤 가스 또는 디젤 엔진 트렉터를 이용하여 특별히 부피가 크거나 무거운 화물과 화물의 이동을 위해 모든 필요조건을 지원합니다. 2 – 15톤지게차, 5 – 15톤 구조차등 여러 유형의 차량/장비를 운전하며, 부피가 크고 무거운 화물 또는 고장 차량/장비를 수송합니다. 트렉터, 트레일러 또는 화물의 손상을 방지하기 위하여 여러유형의 적절한 방법을 계획하고, 화물이 뒤집히는 사고를 방지하기 위하여 제대로 적재합니다. 기지 왕복 운행, 운행 승무원 수송, 중요 방문자 버스 지원 및 화물 운용 지원을 위해28 – 44 인용 여객버스와 같은 대규모 차량을 운전합니다. 인원부족이나 과중한 업무시에 세단형 자동차, 스테이션 웨곤, 캐리올, 트럭등 여러 유형의 수송차량을 운전합니다. 그러므로, 이러한 차량의 운전에 익숙해야합니다. 승객과 화물의 안전을 위하여 차량 운행시 안전 규칙을 준수해야 합니다. 업무를 수행하기 위하여 이동 라디오를 사용하며 적시에 배차계와 통신할수 있도록 유지합니다. 운전자를 배려하고 할당된 차량을 청결하고 양호한 상태로 유지합니다. 매일 운전자를 확인하고 AF Form 1800을 작성하며, 운전자 검사서와 문제점 보고서를 제출합니다. 문제점을 발견시에는 즉시 감독자 또는 차량배차계에 보고합니다. 다른 할당된 업무도 수행합니다. 근무조건: 근무의 대부분은 외부에서 수행됩니다. 전천후의 기상조건에서 차량을 운전하여 화물을 수송합니다. 운전자는 먼지, 소음, 도로 또는 교통상의 위험에 노출됩니다.
자격요건: 6개월간의 특수 경력이 있어야합니다. 임명전에 신청자는 운행할 장비에 대한 대한민국 운전 면허증을 소지하여야하며, 주한미군에서 실시하는 운전 장비에 대한 면허시험에 합격해야 합니다.
