KOREAN NATIONAL POSITION
CIVILIAN PERSONNEL FLIGHT OSAN AIR BASE
ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: OAB-070-25

POSITION TITLE & GRADE: Forklift Operator (Materials Handler), KWB-5704-05
SALARY: Between 18149 – 25962 won per hour (Total hourly compensation when bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Logistics Readiness Squadron, Materiel Management Flight, Osan AB.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current employees assigned with United States Air Force, Korea (USAFK).
(Priority Group 5)
NOTE: 1. USFK NAF employees newly hired on or after 1 Jul 2004 will be required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position. However, they may be allowed to move to other NAF positions within their employing command/activity.
2. Relocation allowance is not authorized for USFK employees selected from outside the commuting area.
MAJOR DUTIES: Operates electric, diesel or gasoline powered forklifts capable of lifting 2,000 to 15,000 pounds to loads, unloads, stacks, unstacks, warehouse and re-warehouses assets, and move boxes, crates, package, palletized materials and loose items for inspection. Regulates forks and truck movements, exercising care to avoid overloading or improper stacking or movement of supplies and equipment, preventing unnecessary damage. Operates indoors and outdoors in open storage areas. Performs driver’s maintenance in accordance with established guidance and regulations. Operates general purpose trucks up to 1.5 ton capacity. Exercises responsibility for assuring security of loads, to avoid overloading and unbalanced loads. Selects mobility assets for shipment, issue, or periodic information, verifying information shown on the shipping/issue document against that on stock tags bin tags; determines from which stock or bin items are to be removed; removes stock, assuring that proper quantity and nomenclature of selected stock agree with information contained on document. Moves items selected to designated location. Performs other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside warehouses in bin rooms, in open storage areas, and on receiving or shipping docks. The areas may be cold, draft damp or hot. Exposed to injury from falling objects, and collisions, from handling materials and from mechanical equipment, and subject to dust, noise, fumes. Works on concrete floors. Lifts moderately heavy items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a ROK Forklift Operator’s License (over 3K type) and successfully pass a USFK performance test for the type of equipment to be operated.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:
a. Skill in operating electric, diesel or gasoline powered forklifts.
b. Ability to work inside and outside under all weather conditions.

주요 업무: 2,000 – 15,000 파운드의 물건을 들어올릴 수 있는 전기, 디젤 또는 가솔린 동력 지게차를 운영하고, 적재, 하역, 쌓고, 풀고, 창고의 적재 장소에 물건을 이동하고, 상자, 패키지, 팔레트, 묶여있거나 풀어져있는 물건들을 검사합니다. 지게차와 트럭의 이동을 조정하고, 과부하 또는 부적절한 적재물이나 장비의 이동을 방지하기위해 주의를 기울여서 불필요한 손상을 방지합니다. 개방된 장소의 실내 및 실외에서 작동합니다. 정해진 지침 및 규정에 따라 운전을 수행합니다. 최대 1.5톤 트럭을 운행합니다. 과부하 및 불균형한 적재를 방지하기위해 규정을 지킬 책임이 있습니다. 주기적 정보에의해 이동성 물건을 선별하여 발송하고, 할당된 물건에대해 배송, 발행 문서에 표시된 정보를 확인하고, 일련번호 또는 로트번호에 주석을 달아 보존기간에 따라 항목에서 제외될 물건을 결정합니다. 선택한 항목을 지정된 위치로 이동합니다. 주어진 기타 관련 작업을 수행합니다. 근무조건: 작업은 저장창고, 개방창고, 수령 또는 발송 선창 창고안에서 작업합니다. 창고는 춥고, 건조하고, 습기가 많거나 더울수 있습니다. 낙하물로 인한 부상 및 취급 물건 및 기계 장비로 인한 충돌에 노출되며, 먼지, 소음, 가스등에 노출되기도 합니다. 콘크리트 바닥에서 작업하며, 무거운 짐을 다룰때는 주의를 요합니다.
자격요건: 한국정부에서 발행한 지게차 운전면허증 (3톤이상)을 소지하여야 하며 주한미공군에서 시행하는 소정의 운전면허 시험에 통과해야 합니다
