MERIT PROMOTION AND PLACEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
KOREAN NATIONAL POSITION
CIVILIAN PERSONNEL FLIGHT OSAN AIR BASE
ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: OAB-055A-25

POSITION TITLE & GRADE: Tractor Operator, KWB-5705-05
SALARY: Between 18149 – 25962 won per hour (Total hourly compensation when bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Civil Engineer Squadron, Operations Flight, Heavy Repair Element, Osan AB.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current USFK employees (Priority Group 5).
NOTE: 1. USFK NAF employees newly hired on or after 1 Jul 2004 will be required to serve no less than one year in the position to which they are initially hired before they can voluntarily accept any other position. However, they may be allowed to move to other NAF positions within their employing command/activity.
2. Relocation allowance is not authorized for USFK employees selected from outside the commuting area.
MAJOR DUTIES: Operates gasoline, diesel, battery or gas/electric powered tractors towing loaded or unloaded dump carts, skids, wheeled trailers or grass cutting equipment. Couples and uncouples tractors and trailers automatically or manually under special circumstances. Uses care to avoid injuries or damages in the movement of supplies and materials. Exercises responsibilities for assuring security of loads, to avoid trailer overloading and to determine safe material loading. Performs operator’s maintenance before, during, and after service on both tractor and trailers in accordance with established rules and regulations. Fills out daily equipment log. Performs pavements and/or airfield surfaces clearance, such as grass cutting airfield surfaces in accordance with Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard regulations. Also performs snow/ice removal operations on base roads and sidewalks through use of tractor powered sanders and broom attachments. Obtains Airfield Driving License and Line Badge to access restricted and Airfield Area. Performs other related duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work inside and outside in cold, windy, damp, drafty and hot areas and in varying terrain and weather conditions. Subject to dust, noise, fumes, injury from falling objects and collisions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a ROK driver’s license (1st Class, Large-type) and successfully pass a USFK performance test for the type of equipment to be operated.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:
a. Skill in operating electric, diesel or gasoline powered tractors.
b. Ability to work inside and outside under all weather conditions.
CONTINGENCY-ESSENTIAL (C-E) POSITION: This position has been designated as Contingency-Essential (C-E).
A C-E employee will participate in base exercises equipped with the chemical warfare defense equipment. Selected candidate is required to sign an agreement, Korean Employee Contingency-Essential Position Agreement (USFK Form 200EK) and must be completed physical requirements test before effective date of appointment.

Non-Air Force employees should mail one copy of USFK Form 130EK, Application for Employment and supporting documents to the Kyongki-do, Pyongtaek-si, Songtan Post Office (SONGTAN-U-CHAE-KUK, SA SO HAM 18 HO), Postal Code 17757, Osan Civilian Personnel Flight no later than closing date.
Applicants will be required to submit certificates of education, experience with tax deductions and license listed on the application. Applicants must give contact telephone number and announcement number on the front page of the application form. Applications must be in English and Korean; each item of the application must be completely filled in and properly signed and dated. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the application being destroyed without consideration. A photocopy of application with original signature will be acceptable.

주요 업무: 적재되거나 적재되지 않은 덤프, 카트, 스키드, 바퀴 달린 트레일러 또는 잔디 깎는 장비를 견인하는 가솔린, 디젤, 배터리 또는 가스/전기 동력 트랙터를 운전합니다. 특별한 상황에서 자동 또는 수동으로 트랙터와 트레일러를 체결 또는 분리하는 업무를 수행합니다. 물자와 물자의 이동에 있어서 부상이나 손상을 피하기 위해 주의합니다. 하중의 안전성과 트레일러의 과부하를 방지하고, 안전한 자재 하중을 결정할 책임이 있습니다. 정해진 규칙과 규정에 따라 트랙터와 트레일러의 운행전, 운행도중 및 운행후를 모두 정비, 정돈합니다. 매일 장비일지를 작성합니다. 새의 항공기 타격 위험 규정에 의거해 활주로 포장 또는 표면의 잔디를 깎는등의 활주로 표면 간격을 유지할 수 있게 업무를 수행합니다. 또한, 트랙터의 동력식 샌더와 빗자루 부착장치를 이용하여 부대내 도로와 인도에서 눈/얼음 제거 작업을 수행합니다. 제한 구역에서 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 비행장 운전 면허증과 라인 배지를 취득하여야합니다. 다른 주어진 업무을 수행합니다.
근무 환경: 다양한 지형과 기상 조건하에서 건물 안과 밖에서 작업을 수행합니다.
자격요건: 한국정부에서 발행한 운전면허증 (1종대형) 을 소지하여야 하며 주한미공군에서 시행하는 소정의 운전면허 시험에 통과해야 합니다
요구되는 지식, 능력 및 기능: 가장 자격이 맞는 평가를 받기 위해서는 구직 신청자들은 이 직책을 수행하는데 필수적으로 다음과 같은 지식, 능력 및 기술을 갖추어야 합니다.
a. 전기 디젤 및 가솔린 동력 트랙터를 운전할 수 있어야 합니다.

비상 근무 직위: 이 직위는 비상요원으로 지정된 자리입니다. 비상요원은 필요한 장비를 갖추고 기지 훈련에 참가하여야 합니다. 채용된 직원은 한인 직원 비상 요원 동의서 (USFK Form 200EK)를 작성하시고, 근무일전에 비상요원 신체검사를 받아야합니다.
